Benz and a Backpack

Joell Ortiz has been doing pretty well for himself these days. With songs like “Call Me” in rotation on many radio stations, he’s steadily becoming a very notable rapper.

Artists like Cassidy and Maino have made their own remix’s to Lloyd Bank’s “Beamer, Benz and Bentley,” but none of them that I have heard are even close to as good as the original. Joell Ortiz made his own version, calling it “Nissan, Honda, Chevy” with Jim Jones. This remix focuses on selling drugs and going on re-up runs in non-flashy cars, like Nissans, Hondas and Chevys. I normally hate Jim Jones, but everyone who heard his verse on this remix agreed that he went in! Both Jim and Joell’s verses are detailed and tell a story. I might even go as far as to say I like this better then original…what do you guys think??
