UPS: What Can Brown Do For You?

Mello Music Group, home to many of our favorite artists these days (Diamond District & Oddisee, Trek Life, Finale, Georgia Anne Muldrow), made it official with Boog and Apollo Brown (no relation). Both Boog and Apollo hail from the D, but Boog is now based out of Atlanta, Apollo out of Cleveland, and the two will be teaming up for an album under the guise ‘UPS.’ Haha. Their upcoming release will be called The Brown Study LP (reminiscent of Clifford Brown and Max Roach’s A Study In Brown), due for a summer 2010 release.

Boog is a soulful female emcee who brings passion and presence to the mic. Her rhymes are varied and maintain substantial depth, which translates to broad appeal– from stiletto-wearing women to fellas who rock Timbs.
