Time Machine – Cocktails (Video)

Time Machine (Jaysonic, Comel and DJ Mekalek) is back after a four year hiatus with a project entitled Vicious Experiments. The new eleven track project exists somewhere in the grey area between mixtape and album, and features collaborations with Apathy, Damu The Fudgemunk, Raw Poetic, Juan Deuce and more. Vicious Experiments will feature both original production and re-workings of music from eclectic sources spanning various eras and genres. Props to Fal and Deuce behind the lens!

Apathy ft. Celph Titled – Stop What Ya Doin [prod. DJ Premier] (Video)

Ricky Shabazz and the Boom Bap Boys return to glory with their latest video for Apathy’s single “Stop What Ya Doin,” featuring Celph Titled and production from the legendary DJ Premier. In what’s now become classic Shabazz style, Apathy and Celph wreak havoc on their surroundings, tearing apart a birthday party for tiny children, shoving unassuming dudes off bridges and docks, and passing piff and OE til their eyes turn red. From start to finish the video muddles typically stark contrasts (young vs. old, the boardroom vs. the streets), culminating in a vivid scene where Apathy and Celph, instead of spitting with a city as the backdrop, rap in the middle of the woods while kids plunge off a bridge and into a river behind the two gritty emcees. Are there any absolutes anymore? I don’t think so. Welcome to the future.

Honkey Kong is available now.

Apathy – Check To Check (Video)

This video was filmed in February, in the dead of an east coast winter, to capture the sullen vibe of the song. Filmed with mostly family and friends (and a few strange extras who had no idea they were being filmed), “Check To Check” is an honest look at really real life sh*t.

Apathy – Make Alotta Money

New single from Connecticut rapper Apathy of the Demigodz crew. The song speaks on the state of the music industry, free access to music, and the absurdity of celebrities.

“They ain’t buying records but they coming to my shows/ Cause they can’t download the performance or buy clothes/ You sucka mother fucker/ I hope you decompose/ Hope somebody makes you work for free then see how it goes”
